The project area includes special areas such as Karsiyaka City Center, Girne Boulevard, Peynircioğlu Stream, Sasalı Natural Life Park and covers many targets such as reducing heat island effect, increasing biodiversity, and implementing climate friendly applications in agriculture. In line with these targets, applications such as green corridor formation in İzmir, afforestation, expansion of bicycle road network, construction of climate friendly greenhouses for urban agriculture applications, Peynircioglu Creek rehabilitation and landscaping, fruit walls and green parking roofs will be applied.

As the coordinator Turkish team, Demir Energy, has key roles in communication with the EU, the reporting of studies of Turkish partners, coordination of studies with Liverpool and Valladolid teams since the project writing phase. Apart from these, the Demir Energy Team continues the studies on methodology development, monitoring and evaluation, communication and dissemination of the project on the international platform.
