Demir Enerji prepared the corporate and urban scale carbon footprint study of the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality with considering 2014 as the base year. The Sustainable Energy Action Plan was prepared for Bursa Metropolitan Municipality which needed to locate in various international platforms.Previous study has been revised in 2017 in line with the provisions of the Covenant of Mayors (40% reduction by 2030) and a Climate Change Adaptation Plan has been prepared. Within the preparation of the adaptation plan, workshops have been organized in which experts have participated widely.

Kadıköy Municipality has been applied to “Capacity building in the field of Climate Change in Turkey” and awarded a grant from European Comission in 2017. Within the scope of “Integrated and Participatory Climate Action for Kadıköy Municipality”, Kadıköy Municipality plans to enhance its mitigation targets by applying 2030 goal in Covenant of Mayors.

Demir Enerji provide services as specialized agency to Kadıköy Municipality for the Capacity Improvement Program in Climate Change Field in Turkey – Kadıköy Municipality Holistic and Participatory Climate Action project. Within the scope of the project, Kadıköy Municipality Climate Change Action and Adaptation Plan will be prepared with a participatory process management. Wide participation of the public, workshops for the experts and school trainings of the subject will play a major role in the preparation of these plans.

Demir Enerji prepared the corporate and urban scale carbon footprint study of the Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality with considering 2016 as the base year. Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality has prepared Climate Change Action Plan needed for sustainable growth of the city. Main steps of the study can ben named as; analyzing the energy and carbon efficiency with calculating the base year carbon footprint of Kahramanmaraş in city scale, evaluation of national and international best practices, identification of mitigation measures possible to implement in the city with prioritization through cost/benefit analysis, preparation of the action plan to fight with the effects of climate change and to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions approximately 40% per capita, by .

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality is the second municipality involved in EU Covenant of Mayors in Turkey and because of the participation Sustainable Energy Action plan has been prepared. Main steps of the study can be named as; analyzing the energy and carbon efficiency with calculating the base year carbon footprint of İzmir in city scale, evaluation of national and international best practices, identification of mitigation measures possible to implement in the city with prioritization through cost/benefit analysis, preparation of the action plan to fight with the effects of climate change and to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions at least 20% by 2020.

Demir Enerji prepared the corporate and urban scale carbon footprint study of the Maltepe Municipality with considering 2014 as the base year. Sustainable Action Plan of the municipality that one of the signatories of Covenant of Mayors has preapred and submitted to CoM database.

Demir Enerji provided services to Tepebaşı Municipality which is one of the signatories of Covenant of Mayors, during the preparation of Sustainable Energy Action Plan. At the same time Tepebaşı Municipality is the first municipality that completed the Monitoring phase at Covenant of Mayors in Turkey.

Demir Enerji prepared the corporate and urban scale carbon footprint study of the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality with considering 2014 as the base year. Later supported Antalya Metropolitan Municipality to prepare Sustainable Energy Action plan. Antalya is the first Metropolitan municipality involved in EU Covenant of Mayors in Turkey.

Bornova Municipality is a city in İzmir County. Bornova has targeted 25 % reduction in its absolute CO2e emissions by the year 2020. As an administrative region in Greater İzmir, Bornova has a population growth rate above the national average of 1,2 %, at around 3,5%. The urbanization rate of Bornova is 91 %,being higher than the national average of 75 %. Bornova also has a relatively larger industrial and commercial activity within İzmir compared to other counties.The city is on the main transit roads from Aydın, Manisa, İstanbul and Çanakkale and also is home to the İzmir bus terminal. The long term vision of Bornova Municipality is consistent with its plans to reduce its carbon footprint; i.e. urban renewal and upgrading as well as decarbonizing and optimizing transport options.As can be seen from the baseline inventory, which does not include the industry contribution, the two main sources of GHG emission in Bornova are the built environment (i.e. emissions from the building stock) and transport emissions.

Demir Enerji prepared Seferihisar Municipality Sustainable Energy Action Plan. With its awarded title of “slow city” Seferihisar Municipality took the first step for being a climate friendly district with becoming a signatory of Covenant of Mayors. As a necessity of the Covenant of Mayors completed the study of preparation of SEAP.
